Senior Portfolio Presentations
This was a poster I created to advertise our degree portfolio showcase in December. The concept of collective individuality in graphic design is expressed through the different digital fonts displaying each student’s name. The design was integrated into the presentation itself, with yellow nameplates on a dark background.

AIGA Get Out the Vote
This is the first poster I finished for the 2008 AIGA Get out the Vote initiative. For my poster concept I riffed on both Bush’s famous “Stay the Course” speeches as well as the way Obama has taken ownership of the word “Change”. I feel that most Americans aren’t interested in linguistics and choosing sides, but participating in a true democracy, pursuing a transparent government.

The Grapes of Wrath
Here’s an old theatre poster (“old” being from 2007). Although I’m not the biggest fan of the “grunge” aesthetic, here I think it serves its purpose. This was one of those instances where the client-supplied file ( a Library of Congress photo) really did the work. The raw, gritty quality lent itself to wide, empty space, and I still like the way some of the words dissolve into the dusty sky.
